What a wonderful selection of books. Having taught grades 1-6, I read many of those books through the years Many of my 6th graders loved hearing their childhood books over and over again. I used them in the upper grades for the message they gave or for quick fun reads. Many of these books are just great for relaxation time. Remember ,it is often said that children can understand a book read to them, that is sev. grades ahead of their reading on their own level . Some of those books make for wonderful family story hours. I cant wait , claire to see the next list. There are some I havent read on this list and hope to take them out of the library for fun. I hope many towns still have full budgets for their library. The library is a wonderful resource for books and so much more.
    Thanks again, claire.

Claire, This is a wonderful list. I know I have loved reading these books to kindergarteners and my own children. Keep up the good work!
