Open Ended Questions for Young Children

Open ended questions are great for young children.  They need to learn to think about an answer before just saying, ‘yes’ or ‘no’ or possibly not even responding.  I have written about developing the skills needed to answer open ended questions in another blog, but I just came across this list, written by iMom.  She has written a list of questions that you could ask your child when you are lying beside him/her at bedtime.  These questions could help you establish a new nighttime routine with your child.  Try it out and see what you think.
